Distribusion Technologies Partners with European Sleeper to Increase Global Online Sales

BERLIN (20.12.2023)  - Distribusion Technologies, a global leader in ground transportation technology headquartered in Berlin, Germany is proud to announce its partnership with European Sleeper, a unique Dutch-Belgian private rail company dedicated to sleeper trains as a sustainable, efficient and comfortable alternative to flying. 

European Sleeper will use Distribusion’s feature-rich API to connect their overnight rail offerings to the retailers of their choice, including Omio and TicTacTrip where they already are live. Distribusion paired European Sleeper with our retail partner, TicTacTrip, as both companies have a focus on sustainable and low-carbon travel. When European Sleeper wants to explore other markets, Distribusion will be there to support, offering access to more than 150 of the world’s largest international travel retailers. 

European Sleeper operates a sleeper train with sleeper, couchette and seating cars three times a week between Brussels, Amsterdam, and Berlin, selling more than 25,000 tickets since its launch in May 2023.  Founded in 2021 as a cooperative, European Sleeper raised 4.5 million in equity from more than 3,000 small and medium-sized private investors, making European Sleeper wholly community owned.  In March 2024, the overnight service will extend from to Dresden and Prague and by 2025 there are plans underway to join Amsterdam, Brussels and Barcelona. 

European Sleeper is already live on Google Maps and Google Transit thanks to Distribusion’s best-in-class GTFS feed. Distribusion also provides European Sleeper with our online booking engine tied to our seamless ticketing links, transforming interested users to paying customers with one of the fastest search-to-book flows in the industry.
